LIVINGWALK ESSENTIALS

My friends, sadly much of what circulates regarding the Christian experience and the path to fullness in the Lord Jesus Christ is at best distraction and at worse, heresy. This has always been so it seems, even from the evidence of Scripture.  In this regard, I have listed what (in my opinion anyway) are some essential resources that will aid us in following our Lord faithfully and truthfully in this pathless wilderness, onward to the hope that is set before us - His Glorious Coming in His Kingdom.

Now many of these writings are meat indeed, and will perhaps challenge many of your assumptions regarding the faith once delivered. Please don't suffer the temptation to reject them speedily because they might not line up with all you have been taught, or that which you old dear. Spend some time here and you will begin to recognize certain themes coming into view - Jesus first and only as the living way to righteousness and blessing, the imperative of following the narrow path, an emphasis on the coming of the Lord, and our coming out of this present world, The Kingdom of the Heavens and our hope therein, the judgment of the saints, the imperative for us to revisit and study the Old Testament types for a more complete view of God's plans and purposes, in the Scripture's pronounced emphasis on sanctification (walking in faith and righteousness as a new creation in Christ) over and beyond regeneration (becoming a new creation in Christ through the regeneration of the spirit - being born from above).

It is my sense that the Church of Jesus Christ has largely abandoned these essential themes to its spiritual peril. We must place the importance and emphasis only where our Lord places it in His Word, not on what might appeal to man's ticklish ears or children's desire for the warm flowing milk of an easy Christianity.
